Here's a strat-style, entry-level guitar from California-based AXL Guitars, the AS-750 Headliner SRO double-cutaway. The Headliner features a solid basswood body, three single coil pickups, maple neck, and tremolo bridge.

This is a brand-new, b-stock* guitar. It does have some very minor surface scuffing from shipment, as evidenced by the photos. It required a quick truss rod adjustment to gain proper intonation and has been cleaned, the fret board oiled and frets polished, and given a proper set-up.

AXLs are great guitars, so give this Headliner a shot today. You won't be disappointed.

* SO, WHAT'S A B-STOCK GUITAR?
When manufacturers produce guitars, each instrument must undergo a final inspection before being shipped off to retailers. They're examined for performance, electronics, finish, and color. If the guitars are anything less than perfect, the manufacturers won’t allow them to pass this rigorous inspection, and the instruments are relegated to a status very much like what happens to mis-stitched clothing or scratch 'n' dent home goods when they end up for sale at factory outlet stores. They become blemished stock, or 'B-stock' for short.
These instruments don’t have major flaws or structural issues just minor ones like finish blemishes or a sometimes a high neck set or sharp fret edges, issues which manufacturers don't have the time to deal with. (After all, time is money, and it's easier to clear out these instruments to make way for pristine-condition, straight-to retail stock.)
After they're demoted to B-stock, these guitars are stamped ‘USED’ on the back of the head stock and will have their serial number removed to prevent unethical retailers from selling them as first-quality. A few manufacturers like Fender or Jackson also take the added step of removing their name from the front of the head stock. (Martin deliberately destroys their less-than-perfect instruments altogether.)
Though some of these guitars might have a less than showroom-new finish, even if just on the underside of the body or the neck, others are indistinguishable from a first-quality instrument; Only the 'USED' stamp on the head gives them away (and the fact that you paid a lot less for the same model than you would have if you bought a first-quality guitar through Guitar Center or American Music Supply).
Every B-stock guitar which TLRW Guitars sells has its defects identified by our supplier before we receive them so we can start work on any necessary adjustments as soon as they arrive. We also thoroughly examine each instrument in case additional items need attention. Whether the issue is a minute finish flaw, a new saddle, or a truss rod adjustment, we evaluate and address the needs of each instrument with care and attention to detail, and we outline exactly what work we completed to the instrument when we offer it to sale.
We’re not only guitar builders and repair technicians, we're musicians first and foremost, and we test every guitar multiple times to ensure it meets our high standards. When you buy a guitar from us you can be confident you're buying a quality instrument that’s professionally set up and ready to play as soon as you receive it.
