Up for grabs is a set of THREE (3 individual knobs) lightly used genuine Gibson BLACK SPEED KNOBS (ONLY 3 of the 4 knobs from PRSK-010 set are for sale). Specifically from 2005 .

Sorry I don't have the matching 4th Black Speed knob.

Very specific details about the condition of the knobs are further down in the description.

These knobs came off of a lightly used 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio (Worn Cherry finish). Guitar NOT included / NO other parts included.

Since these are kind of older Gibson Speed Knobs --- the Center Area of the UNDER-SIDE of the knobs look different compared to Gibson knobs made in recent years and that are currently made:

• the circular plastic piece that goes around the hole with the ridges is thicker / wider, higher, and has a flat thick top.
• SEE comparison pictures # 4, # 5, and # 6

Whereas: the UNDER-SIDE of Gibson knobs made in recent years and that are currently made (NOT for sale in this listing):

• For the center area -- the circular plastic piece that goes around the hole with the ridges is tapered, is narrow, is shorter / lower, and has a thin top.
• SEE comparison pictures. # 4, # 5, and # 6

NOTE: The part / model number PRSK-010 and UPC#  711106550671 are provided as a reference for the style color knobs they are.

These genuine Gibson Control Knobs [SPEED Knob Style] are Black with White Numbers & Dashes.

These knobs fit on a split shaft stem that has fine vertical grooves / ridges / splines. The last picture shows this kind of stem (the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included). As you can see -- I mean a stem / shaft that is NOT smooth and that does NOT get held on the the stem with a screw). It can fit a long stem or short stem shaft. The last pictures shows a shows a pot with a short stem shaft (again - the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included).

NOTE:

Since these are pre-owned (used) knobs - one or more of the knobs might be a little loose on the shaft of your controls. If this is the case - instead of you gently separating the two metal pieces of the split shaft:

• I would highly recommend that you put a piece of tape or a piece of thin paprt around the shaft of your controls -- so that the knobs will have something else (aside from the metal pieces of the shaft) to grip on to.
• I say this because if you separate the two metal pieces of the split shaft -- there is a great chance that one of the metal pieces (ot even both) will break off. I know this for personal experience.
• Therefore it's better to play it safe and to add the piece of tape or piec eof paper around the shaft.

But if there is a possibility - that one or more of the knobs might need to carefully forced down on the shaft of your control(s).

CONDITION of the knobs for sale in the listing that you are looking at now -

In general - these knobs are clean condition.

If you closely examine the TOP areas of the knobs - you can see a few extremely light hair-line surface scratches. Two of the knobs have a few very light hair-line surface scratches. One knob doe not.

Pictures # 1, # 2, and # 7 were taken in a regular light. These picures show the appearance & the color of the knobs as they look like in person. But not all of the imperfections on the TOP Side are visible in these pictures.

Pictures # # 3, # 8, # 12 to # 16 were taken in a lower light or in a certian light to show the imperfections. But some of the imperfection that were captured in these pictures are not that visible in person. Also the cloudiness and / or dullness seen these pics are not the way the knobs look like in person.

NOTE:  The top area of each knob has a very light short clear line (not felt - but seen) from the center to the outer edge near the 5 position for two of the knobs and to the outer edge of the 4 position for one of the knobs . This very light short clear line is from the Gibson factory mold that these knobs were made from (all of the speed knobs that were made many & several years ago have this line in these area). 

The TOP Edges are fine.

The SIDES are fine for two of the knobs. And for one the knob - the sides are mostly very clean - but has two extremely short dash light scratched at the 7 position.  

The Center Area of the BOTTOM Side (the outer area near the very center hole) or each knob have few tiny nicks on some of the knobs. The the way the the knobs were made and / or handled at the Gibson factory.

The very BOTTOM Outer Edge:

• The areas between the # 0 and the # 10 of two of the knobs have a little flattening (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.
• - The areas between the # 9 and the # 10 of one of the knobs has a little flattening (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.

The BOTTOM Outer Side edge - -

• The areas between the # 0 and the # 10 of two of the knobs have very slight curve & a few extremely tiny nicks (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.
• - The areas between the # 9 and the # 10 of one of the knobs has a very light curve & a few extremely tiny nicks (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.

Center Bottom area (hole with ridges) -- Some of the black color has come off on inner areas where the ridges are (really no big deal).

The other areas of the BOTTOM SIDE are fine.

NOTE:  There may be a a couple of imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked.  And - there maybe some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person (like glares and dust specks).

As mentioned above- I do not mind breaking the set if you need a certain amount of knobs.
