Matsumoku MMK (Aria Pro II, Westone, Westbury, Electra, Vantage...) Covered Black Humbucker - Possibly 1980's - 1990's - Black - 11.35K ohm - Made in Japan MIJ

Used Matsumoku MMK covered black humbucker - Made in Japan MIJ.

I bought this pickup from Japan not in a guitar, so I can't say what brand or model it is, or what guitar (if any) it was removed from, or the age. But it does have the MMK engraved on the bottom of the baseplate, which was used by Matsumoku (builder) during the 1980's and 1990's.

Normally there's a number also included (I.e. MMK 45 or MMK 53....) but there's no number printed on this one.

Based on the resistance, I would assume this is similar or the same as the MMK45 or MMK53 models made by Matsumoku (Aria Pro II, Westbury, Westone, Electra, Vantage, etc...) during this era.

The DC resistance measures 11.35k ohms from ground to the white signal wire.

The lead wire is about 12" long to the ground wire, and about 14" to the signal wire.

I did not remove the cover, so I do not know the pole spacing or what type of magnet is used, but based on how thick the pickup is, I would assume it's a thick ceramic magnet.

The pickup is in fair players grade shape, although there's some typical scuffing/string wear on the cover.
