Shocking Clocking with Macro-MMC

Jitter is a tiny timing error in a converter's clock that muddies high-end detail and dulls transients. Macro-MMC, developed from Black Lion's dedicated word clocks, keeps the 6x6's converters running at their best. External gear connected over BNC locks to that low-jitter clock for maximum sync. If you already own a clock you like, the 6x6 graciously accepts clock in.

Modded Out of the Box

Black Lion describes the 6x6 as modded out of the box, applying boutique techniques it once added by hand. PG-i filtering and highly filtered power rails work with full-circuit power decoupling to keep noise out of the audio. Over two dozen hard-to-source boutique capacitors and film resistors line the signal path, and all analog I/O is balanced right to the converter core. Internal gain-staging is optimized for the lowest signal-to-noise ratio.
