This is a special piece of Gibson history offered from my personal collection!

This is essentially a Gibson ES-355 that was custom-ordered with an L5 Neck (abalone inlays, Curly Q fretboard end, multi-ply binding + on edge, heel cap, Chalice/Flower Pot Headstock overlay, 5 piece flame maple neck.) However, it retains the 24.75" Scale ES-style instruments are known for and has a unique '000' day of the year serial number likely meaning this was a bit more special than just a usual custom order... I've always called it my ES-35L5

IMPORTANT INFO TO KNOW - THIS GUITAR HAS A REAL CELLOID PICKGUARD. It will offgas and can ruin the guitar's finish and gold hardware. This has happened once before already. ALL THE GOLD parts have been replaced on this. It shipped from the factory with a bigsby, it was "restored" with a '64 maestro vibrola style which means additional holes were drilled in the top. The new vibrola has a shallow break angle so the guitar doesn't stay in tune the best - you might opt to go back to a bigsby with a tension bar (not included.) The new pickguard is the "long" style and required a new drill place. The pickup covers are "Custom Art Historic" embossed circa 1998 - while on the guitar, they are not soldered into place. Tuners are now Grover imperial style. The current pickguard needs its bracket reglued to be properly installed.

This is wired TRUE STEREO. You will need a dedicated Stereo cable to use both pickups. A normal guitar cable will not work

There is finish checking throughout, but it was just deep cleaned and polished when the video was filmed.
