With the Ibanez Lari Basilio LB1-VL Violet, Ibanez presents the signature guitar of the exceptional Brazilian guitarist, whose technically and melodically impressive playing style achieved worldwide fame through her participation in Joe Satriani's G4 Experience and other collaborations.
Lari Basilio chose the Ibanez AZS design as the basis for her personal electric guitar, which, in addition to the ash body in modern-retro style, relies on a bolt-on neck made of extremely stable S-Tech Wood Roasted-Birdseye-Maple. The flowing Super-All-Access-Neck-Joint guarantees unhindered access to the higher registers, while the pleasantly strong AZ-Oval-C-Profile together with the compound fingerboard radius and the stainless steel binding promise smooth playing characteristics.
The pickups of the Ibanez LB1-VL were developed by Lari Basilio and the Californian pickup pope Seymour Duncan. With specially matched Alnico mixtures, the HSS setup of two single-coils and a bridge humbucker delivers particularly clear sounds with harmonious vintage character, which Basilio's melodic as well as virtuoso technique skillfully. The dyna-MIX9 circuitry also provides an enormous variety of timbres. Last but not least, the Ibanez Lari Basilio LB1-VL Violet electric guitar is equipped with a Gotoh T1702B tremolo and Gotoh Magnum Lock H.A.P. locking tuners.
