  It plays and sounds amazing. The Jim Williams preamp adds a clarity and richness to an already great sounding bass. The mids from this bass are better than any other Tobias bass from this era that I've ever heard (I've owned four others myself and played many others when they were being built in California). It’s in excellent condition. This bass was originally purchased by Kim Stone from First Bass in Denver CO. Kim Stone Played for the Rippingtons and used this on Curves Ahead and the following tour. I understand the bass was converted to fretless at some point and then converted back. The fretwork is PERFECT! There is a strap button hole on the treble side of the body. Kim preferred this location for better balance.
