Here we have a legendary eight piece Ludwig maple classic from the 1970s, one of the greatest recorded rock ‘n’ roll drum sets of all time. Most recently, this exact set was used as the hero drum set prop in Jeremy Allen-White’s Bruce Springsteen biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere” As seen in the last three photos. Tons of screen time. The ultimate Springsteen collector kit!

Not a single lug stripped or missing. All original hardware included too. Extremely rare concert toms with hardware! Unicorn kit for the ultimate Ludwig collector/studio!!

Newer top AND bottom Remo heads installed late 2023.

Tom’s measure 6, 8, 10, 13, 14, 16” with a 24” kick. I’m also throwing in a 14”x4.5” Frankenstein snare that has a Ludwig pearl wrap and Ludwig olive badges but pdp hardware (new Remo heads on it).

This kit has a beautiful white cortex Wrap in great condition as shown. The Remo heads (top and bottom) around a year old with moderate recording studio playing (Kit has only lived in my pet/smoke free studio since I bought them). Remo ambassadors on the top and brand new Emperors on the bottom.

Throwing in some extra hardware too. It comes with all the mounting hardware, one of which is a brand new double braced cymbal stand and a Gibraltar tom mount, has shown. None of the lugs are stripped or broken, every single lug screw is included. None of the mounting hardware is stripped although it’s obviously not brand new And over 50 years old. I steel wool‘d and “Mothers” chrome polished the rim mounts about three years ago when I bought it, although they’re getting a little dusty now. Overall, the kit is an incredible shape.

Obviously, the selling point of this listing is the incredibly rare concert Tom’s, which are extremely hard to find and make this a very versatile drum set that can be set up for anything from death metal to jazz and everything in between because of the versatility of the Tom sizes. For rock, pop and heavier rock ‘n’ roll, nothing beats the Ludwick classic. Maplewood is also the most desirable in the recording studio, making this one of the best sounding drum sets you can find. The vintage wood has aged beautifully and it sounds incredible to tape. The Tom sizes allow you to configure this drum set for any genre of music successfully, which is pretty rare with a Ludwig maple classic drum set.

SIZES:

The kick drum is 24 inches tall and 18 inches deep. The Tom sizes are 6” 8” 10” 13” 14” and 16” with a mismatched 14” snare. Included are the concert Tom‘s custom Ludwig stand and mounting system, two Ludwig tripod stands, three Tom arms, and aftermarket cymbal stand with a Gibraltar clamp that is heavy duty, double braced, and of course the floor Toms three legs, all in perfect working order with no issues. The floor Tom does show some hairline cracks in the wrap (temperature fluctuation from being used on the Bruce Springsteen biopic in December 2024 on an outdoor stage as shown in last pic) which I tried to show in the photos but from 5 feet away you can’t even see them. Unfortunately, it was very cold that night, but it’s almost impossible to see, and only on the floor tom.

All my vintage drums are sold as is so please take a good look at the hi-res photos, ask questions or even come by and try them out in the nyc area!
