The LTD AS-1 is a tribute to the versatility and virtuosity of Alex Skolnick, legendary guitarist of Testament and the Alex Skolnick Trio. Designed for professional players across genres, the AS-1 offers a single-cutaway design with high-performance features and stunning aesthetics. Built with a set-neck construction, the AS-1 boasts a three-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable U contour and a full-thickness mahogany body topped with figured flamed maple for a rich tone and visual appeal. Equipped with Seymour Duncan '59 (neck) and JB (bridge) pickups, the AS-1 provides tonal versatility with individual volume controls, a master tone control with push-pull coil-splitting for the neck pickup, and a toggle switch. High-end hardware like a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, Dunlop straploks, Grover tuners, and a bone nut ensure durability and reliability. Finished in a stunning Lemon Burst, this guitar is as elegant as it is powerful.
