(NEW) Talk about a show-stopper! We love the Collings I-30LC because it is lightweight and highly resonant, and looks just lovely in traditional colors like black and tobacco sunburst... but sometimes we just can't help ourselves, we want to go in another direction entirely and focus on the ROCK! That's what this guitar represents to us, a heaping helping of rock n' roll, a bit of attitude and then a bit more for good measure. This is an all-new combo for us, aged Olympic White with ThroBak SLE101 Plus humbuckers!
At 5lbs, 9oz, you might forget you're holding one of the coolest guitars money can buy! The I-30LC is laminated maple with no center block, so it feels noticeably lighter than I-35s, whether laminated or solid. It is short scale with 1 11/16" nut and the original '59 C neck profile that adorns the majority of Collings' electrics. The body and rosewood fingerboard are bound in ivoroid. The aged finish includes lacquer checking on the body and peghead (not on the neck shaft) and tastefully tarnished hardware. Includes hard case.
Big thanks to our friend Peter Distefano (Porno For Pyros) for jamming on this one alongside Mike Baggetta!
