Driven by four matched EL34 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes, the SL68 MKII generates a full 100 watts RMS of Class A/B power. The updated MKII design integrates John Suhr's transparent post-phase-inverter Master Volume (PPIMV) circuit on the rear panel. This allows players to dial in aggressive power-tube breakup, natural compression, and touch-sensitive sag at practical stage, studio, or rehearsal volumes without sacrificing high-end transparency or bass response.

Dual Inputs, Channel Bridging & Precision Tone-Shaping

The SL68 MKII features two distinct channels with four individual inputs: Channel I (High Treble) for cutting Plexi bite, presence, and upper-midrange projection, and Channel II (Normal) for deep, resonant low end. Players can run directly into either channel or bridge Channels I and II with a short patch cable to blend both preamp voices for precise gain staging. Front panel controls include Volume I, Volume II, Treble, Middle, Bass, and Presence for intuitive, instantaneous sound shaping across any 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet setup.
