Distinctive and affordable, Jackson's X Series Soloist models are built for speed and comfort. The Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX Electric Guitar is a venerable double-cutaway workhorse that offers many fine features desired by today's shredders. It features a 25.5-inch scale-length nyatoh body and a through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement, a scarf joint, and a painted black back finish. It has a 12 to 16-inch compound radius bound laurel fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays. It features Active Jackson-covered high-output humbucking pickups and a three-position pickup blade switch, single volume control, and single tone control. The guitar features a Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge system, Jackson-sealed die-cast tuners, and standard strap buttons. Through-Body Maple Neck with Graphite Reinforcement and Scarf Joint Extending the piece of wood used for the neck through the entire length of the guitar’s body allows for greater playability and sustain across the whole instrument. Graphite-reinforcement rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability to help the instrument withstand the rigors of the road, while a scarf joint for an angled back headstock increases the tension behind the nut and eliminates the need for string trees and string retainer bars. Active Jackson Covered High-Output Humbucking Pickups Active Jackson-covered high-output humbucking bridge and neck pickups are painstakingly voiced for a full, rich tone while providing maximum overdrive and sustain.
