Among the vintage Gretsch models, this 18" bass drum set from the round badge period of the 60's is extremely rare because of the extremely small number produced and existing.

We have searched the world over for this fantastic 18" bass drum set.

The sound is exactly like the Jazz sound of that era heard on records, with a unique tight, dry tone and a wonderful core attack.

The sound is completely different from current models, and the 1960s specifications, which are different from those of other eras, are nothing short of amazing.

The color is a green glitter finish that has both presence and austerity.

This is a rare color with a deep and glittering shine, created by a technique of scattering glass fragments called glitter.

Condition

This is a one-owner model in good condition.

The previous owner is Mr. Lee Ruff, a drummer and collector who has provided many Vintage Drum books and information.

This set has been beautifully restored by Mr. Ruff, and is in perfect condition and sound.

The covering itself has been refinished with the same materials as the original several decades ago, and we are sure that everyone will agree that the finish is so good that it is indistinguishable from the original.

The silver interior of the bass drum shell has some slight traces of a modified paint job, but it is very hard to tell.

All metal parts are in very good plating condition, and the original specifications have been maintained, making it a very beautiful piece considering its age.

The felt on the bass drum's built-in mute has been replaced with a new one.

The shell has been dried and the sound is good, and one hit will convince all Jazz drummers.
