Most desktop boom arms in this category use exposed coil springs that squeak and creak as the arm is repositioned, sounds that a sensitive condenser microphone picks up and prints onto the recording. The PSA1+ replaces that mechanism with a fully damped parallelogram spring system. The arm moves smoothly, holds position deterministically, and stays silent through every adjustment. Integrated Internal Cable Management — USB and XLR, No Zip Ties

The PSA1+ has an internal cable management channel running the full length of the arm. USB cables route through it. XLR cables route through it. The PSA1+ White was launched to match Rode's growing white-finish microphone lineup — the NT1 Signature White, the PodMic USB White, the NT-USB+ White, and the NTH-100 White headphones. A black boom arm in a white-themed room becomes the dominant visual element on camera. The white variant fades into the room, color-matches the rest of the Rode setup, and finishes the visual design of a streaming or content creation desk.
