W-37 was developed based on the voices of artists and is the model made with a wooden cover having a different personality from the existing keyboard harmonica, even in music that requires subtle sound expression such as classical music, musette, and jazz, with the aim of a soft tone in harmony with other musical instruments. A soft tone was born, claiming the sound firmly.

W-37 was developed based on the voice of artists, and is a model having a different personality from the previous keyboard harmonica (we call it "Kenhamo"). Kenhamo is attractive with a tone that has a presence that can not be buried in other instruments. On the other hand, W-37 aims at a soft tone that harmonizes with other instruments even in music that requires delicate sound expressions such as classical music, musette, and jazz.

Taking particular note of wooden characteristics which have an effect of absorbing and suppressing harmonic overtone in high notes, and using wood is decided for the cover, which is a big factor influencing Kenhamo sound. As a best-matched material with a reed sound, mahogany is suitable. In combination with the feature of mahogany, thick sound, W-37's sound was born with a soft and claiming its sound firmly.

A harmonic overtone is the other tone sounded at the same time as the fundamental tone is sounded, and the impression of sound is changed according to the content of harmonics included.

While the more overtone is included, the tone is brighter and more vibrant; the more overtone in high notes, it sometimes feels like an unpleasant tone.

The wooden part of W-37 is all handmade. The warmth of wood is soft, and the carefully finished surface makes it possible for fingers to move smoothly and play comfortably. W-37 won the Good Design Award 2017. It received an evaluation for the charm of the wooden finish and the high degree of completion as a musical instrument in pursuit of the tone.
