Taylor Guitars Custom Shop Sinker Redwood Top Grand Pacific Acoustic-Electric Guitar, One of a Kind

One of a kind, exquisite, hand-picked Taylor custom guitar featuring the Grand Pacific dreadnought body shape. I was at the Taylor factory back in January picking out some amazing guitars. I wanted something really special so Andy Powers, Taylor CEO, and I decided to build two custom guitars from the ground up. He hand picked the wood from top to bottom. The only exception was the neck which was at a different department from the wood library. The result was this insane Sinker Redwood Top Grand Pacific with Honduran rosewood back and sides. 

He chose a premium Stripy Redwood Sinker top, Honduran Rosewood back and sides, and a striped ebony fingerboard. The solid redwood sinker top is sourced from logs submerged in California riverbeds—adds cedar-like warmth and touch sensitivity along with a high volume ceiling that's great for aggressive players. The Honduran rosewood is beloved for its powerful, throaty low-end response and clear trebles, also producing lush overtones that bloom as notes resonate.

In addition, we added some striking features and appointments like the figured maple binding, Bloodwood, Single-ring with bound soundhole, Solitaires, Grained Ivoroid/Quilted Sapele, inlays on the fretboard and headstock, Gotoh 510 aged gold tuners, and an ebony backstrap.

The result is a one of a kind instrument any performer or collector will be proud to own. A shining star in the collection.
