Under the nitrocellulose finish, a glued mahogany neck is used in addition to the solid mahogany body without weight relief and the maple top. The more powerful bridge pickup elicits a harmonic Overdrive with well-dosed assertiveness from the amplifier. The hand-wired circuit with individual volume and tone pots for each pickup and "Orange Drop" capacitors allows precise adjustment of the guitar sound.

Last but not least, Gibson completes the Les Paul Standard '50s Custom Color Figured Top Blueberry Burst with the hardware equipment that has been established since the Fifties. The lightweight aluminum stopbar guides the strings over the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose adjustment options guarantee precise intonation and comfortable string action. At the headstock, the strings run over a Graph Tech nut to the precise vintage Deluxe tuners, which not only keep the electric guitar securely in tune but also support the historic look with single-ring keystone wings.
