Burns SSJ Club Series Bass Vl Red Burst Electric Bass

Here for sale we have a Burns SSJ Club Series Bass Vl electric bass in Red Burst finish. Built in China, this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Basswood body, Maple neck and 23 fret Synthetic Lignam Rosa fingerboard. A Burns Tremolo Unit is featured with a set of Burns sealed tuning machines. The pickups are a trio of Burns Tri-Sonic single coils, these are wired to a 5-way blade selector, master volume and a master tone control.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile resembling a ‘C’,offering a slender feel in the hand, whilst the gloss finish on the back aids in smooth movement up and down the register. The Synthetic Lignam Rosa fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 9.5” radius making chordal playing, bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The Burns Tremolo Unit allows the player to add extra flourish to their playing providing bass players with the ability to replicate techniques that only a guitar could do. 

The trio of Burns Tri-Sonic single-coil pickups installed in this guitar offer a rich set of tones suitable for a wide range of styles. The neck pickup is nicely warm, with plenty of thickness for lead lines and solos. Funky tones are present in the middle position whilst the bridge has all the brightness required for country or blues. A versatile instrument that provides a broad tonal palette for the user to explore.

Aesthetic Condition: 

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching is present to the front face and top side edge, only visible under direct light from certain angles. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching is present to the fingerboard and rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the higher register of the fingerboard and can not be felt under the finger in playing position. Light denting is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the treble side of the lower register and can very lightly be felt under the finger in playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching is present to the front face, rear face and lower bout side edge, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face lower bout. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
