Guns N' Roses are one of the most influential hard rock bands ever. They released their first album in 1986. The band has endured one of the most tumultuous roller coaster rides in the history of rock and roll, but they're still going strong and rockin' hard as ever. Their rebelliousness and over the top partying earned them the title of "the most dangerous band in the world". They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best selling bands in history.
Frank Ferrer has been a member of Guns N' Roses since 2006. The gig started out as a two week fill in position, but within a few months he was an official member of the band and has been the band's drummer ever since. In addition to Guns N Roses, he played with a long list of major artists including Psychedelic Furs, Perry Farrell and Neil Young.
Frank played this Pork Pie USA Maple drum set from 2009 through 2013, predominantly on the band's Chinese Democracy tour following the 2008 release of their album of the same name. The set can be seen and heard in multiple live videos during this period including The Reading Festival 2010, Rock In Rio 2011 and Festival d'ete de Quebec in 2013. The set was completed on 11/10/2009 and played its first show on 12/11/2009 at Taipei Country Stadium in Taiwan.
Sizes and Serial Numbers:
This kit remains in excellent condition. There are some marks visible on the rack tom, a series of 5 small indentations that don't quite penetrate the silver sparkle finish and do not go as deep as the wood shell. Both Frank and I are stumped about what they are or how they got there. Otherwise, no notable issues. The set looks and sounds amazing. Amongst the Guns N Roses treasures are a signed Axl Rose promo photo, a signed Appetite For Democracy tour poster signed by all members of the band, a 1990s Guns N Roses tour book, three 1990s-early 2000s tour itinerary books, a 1992 stick on backstage pass, a 1991 ticket and premium pass for Wembley Stadium, three All Access tour laminates including Frank's personal "Artist" pass with his name and photo, a Geffen Records 8x10 promo photo, photos of this actual set onstage signed by Frank Ferrer and more. ncluded one of Frank's personal "Artist" tour laminates, a VIP laminate, a band itinerary from the residency and more. Everything you see in the photos is included.
