At 5.4 lbs, it's the lightest purpose-built DDJ-FLX10 case in Headliner's lineup — and the one most suited to the DJ who travels on foot, takes public transport, or simply doesn't need flight case protection for every gig.

Molded EVA: 5.4 lbs of Real Protection

EVA — ethylene-vinyl acetate — is a closed-cell foam material used across the professional equipment case industry for its combination of light weight, impact absorption, and water resistance. Unlike soft fabric bags that transfer impact energy directly to the gear inside, molded EVA distributes and absorbs it across the case structure. The HL12007's exterior shell is rigid enough to resist casual crushing and stacking pressure while remaining light enough to carry comfortably over a shoulder. The exterior is covered in water-resistant polyester — able to handle light rain and drink spills without soaking through.

Custom Interior Fit for the DDJ-FLX10

The HL12007's interior dimensions are 28.5 × 16 × 2.5 inches — matched to the DDJ-FLX10's footprint with enough clearance for the controller to seat without forcing. Custom-molded eggcrate foam covers the floor and sides of the case, with dedicated profiles for the jog wheel assemblies and raised control surfaces. A removable eggcrate foam cover sits on top of the controller inside the case, protecting all knobs, encoders, faders, and buttons from contact with the case lid during transport. The interior is also deep enough to accommodate a Decksaver DS-PC-DDJFLX10 polycarbonate cover on top of the DDJ-FLX10 — useful for DJs who use both products.

Carry Options: Padded Handle and Removable Shoulder Strap

The HL12007 ships with two carry options. A padded top handle provides a standard briefcase-style grip for short distances. The removable shoulder strap — with all-metal hooks and a padded shoulder pad — connects to D-rings on the case sides for hands-free carry over one shoulder, freeing your hands for a laptop bag, cables, or a second piece of gear.
