Gretsch Round Badge 60s - Midnight Blue Pearl

14 x 22 bass drum is a virgin shell model number 4247, serial number 102841. OW1 label with hex head lug screws and silver sealer interior date it to 1968. There are no extra holes in the shell. The wrap is in excellent condition with tight seams. Light pitting on original chrome hardware is present. Hoops have been refinished and the original matching inlays are also in great shape. A new Aquarian American Vintage Medium fits well on the resonant side with a 4" felt strip and an Aquarian Super Kick 1 fits well on the batter side. It tunes up with a warm and punchy tone.

13 x 9 tom is model 4416, serial number 45732. OW1 label, silver sealer interior and round head lug screws date it to 1965. The unmolested shell has excellent edges and wrap. It is unvented with a tack on badge, some chrome flaking is present on the diamond plate mount. The new Remo Ambassador heads fit the shell well on both sides and the tone controls both work smoothly as designed.

5x14 COB snare model 4160 serial number 113540 dates to 1969. All original parts with smooth action on the micro sensitive strainer, 12 strand responso snare wire and original key in the key holder. Original Gretsch perma-tone head on batter side with a new Evans on the snare side. Micro pitting is present on the chrome shell and hardware. Also included is a 4983-snare stand. The tom stand in photos is not included.
