Electra 2257 Magnum II Deluxe w/ Mini Humbuckers Les Paul 1974-76 - Natural

This Electra Custom shows little to no wear. Obviously the previous owners bought this and placed it into a collection of rare guitars. The guitar plays extremely well and sounds even better than it looks. Both neck and body are bound and the fret marker inlays are beautiful (see Pics). The only reason I am letting this go is to finance another build. I am going to take a "hit" on this one. I bought the Electra Deluxe from Butler Music in Harrisonville , MO. They got it and two other 2257"s from one collector. Until then I didn't know these even existed. The case has a bad scrape on the bottom (see pic) and a few little dings and such. All latches and hinges work as they should. Below is the description from Butler Music.

Butler Music was lucky enough to purchase an entire collection of 93 Electra guitars, plus several pedals, modules, catalogs and other great Electra items from the Estate of a long time collector. Very cool Electra 2257 Magnum II Deluxe Electric Guitar, Mini Humbuckers, MIJ + Case.

This is an Electra Custom Magnum II Deluxe 2257 Electric Guitar, made briefly from 1974-76, by the famed Matsumoku factory in Japan. This RARE Electra features the Les Paul Deluxe design, including mini-humbucking pickups . It has the 'open book' Gibson-style headstock, with a beautiful, genuine abalone torch inlay. In 1974, the Electra 2257 was Electra's the top-of-the-line, most expensive guitar, with a retail price of $425 in 1974.

These Japanese-made guitars were state of the art ( and works of art) in their time, featuring two mini Humbuckers .  In excellent condition; no cosmetic flaws and plays beautifully.  It looks and plays great. The Original Frets are still in very good shape.  Very few of these models are ever offered for sale. This one is awesome and in great shape!

This one comes in a hardshell case.  It weighs in at 10 pounds. 

Electra guitars were imported from Japan by Saint Louis Music (SLM)  of Saint Louis, Missouri from 1971 to 1984 (most MPC models were made by Matsumoku of  Matsumoku, Japan) .  Matsumoku has made many popular guitar brands over the years including; Aria, Westbury, Westone, Epiphone, Vantage & Vox to name but a few.
