Here's a rare Sundown SD1000H 100 watt amp head. I bought this amp brand new in either 1984 or '85. It had light usage, mainly practice and sporadic gigging up until 1987. At that point it was put in storage until last summer, when I took it in for a full servicing. It has a clean bill of health.
No footswitch included. I tested it with an old switch I have and the switching circuit works fine, it just requires a simple on/off footswitch.
This is a very versatile amp with many possible settings. It sounds *really* good, better than I remember it sounding years ago. To aid in dialing it in I'm including a copy of a chart provided by Sundown to help buyers attain some of the classic sounds of other well-known amps.
Sundown was a boutique amp manufacturer founded by Dennis Kager in the early 1980s. He was a key employee of Ampeg throughout the sixties. Sundown amps were used and endorsed by John Scofield and Allan Holdsworth.
