About This Listing

With the help of our official partner Olde 303 Music, PSHC pdls are available here again! The amount of pedals is really limited but the good thing is that they are placed in IN, United States so the shipping should be way faster than it was before. Glad to see everyone again!

George .PSHC pdls.

I'm neither a big fan of Fuzz Faces nor Hendrix but I always liked one of the pedals that combine them - it's Dunlop Jimmi Hendrix FF.

I tried many FFs but they all have something wrong to my taste - some of them are too thin, some are too noisy, and so on...

and what I like in the FF of Jimmi is that it is really fat in a clean amp and even fatter in dirty.

I planned that pedal as kind of a joke and wanted to make it in a real can 'cuz of the size and shape of the original pedal which is really nonsense to me.

Yeah... I admit that maybe it looks cool in some way but if I want one on my pedalboard I will need to throw away a couple of other pedals :)

It turned out that it is not easy at all to find the correct size can so I decided to go another way :)

One more thing to say - I made a couple of necessary (IMHO) modifications to the original scheme. That edition has more than two times more volume compared to the original so it can be really loud now. And the second one is a bit more tricky - as you can see on some boutique FF pedals sometimes there is no gain knob there at all. Only volume. If you asked yourself why - there is my answer. FF sounds best on the maximum gain. If you tweak it on ~20% less gain then your sound just became "not so cool" and if you tweak it 30% less gain and lower then it just starts to sound dull, muddy and useless. But here is the main secret - if you will tweak your guitar volume knob with FF gain on maximum it will sound really good in any position. That way you can get a bright boost. mild crunch, fat overdrive and great fuzz. But there is one problem - not many people want to touch the guitar volume knob in the middle of a performance 'cuz it is relatively easy to screw up the show with the wrong settings. So here is my answer - I just replaced the original useless FF gain with a virtual guitar volume knob onboard the pedal. ..and actually it works much better this way :)

In my little demo, you can hear a comparison between the original pedal and The Can on different guitar volume settings.
