Wow! -Original vintage matched pair Royal Canadian Air Force commissioned AM-5185 G tube microphone/ compression amplifiers in gorgeous working condition, freshly serviced, modded, and just, yeah, WOW.

These are complete audio amplifiers, with appx 50 dB of input gain; suitable for all tube and condenser mics, and most dynamics, or line level processing. I do adore having the extra gain to drive line level sources at smashy levels in to the compressor/ limiter/ expander section, for some wild sonic possibilities. Definitely has shades of telefunken v72/ RCA BA federal AM864 vari-mu, vibes, gobs of tube saturation and smeary, smooshy goodness. Killer.

This pair was purchased NOS, serviced, and modded for front panel control for compressor threshold and ratio, as well as controls for input gain, output gain, and expansion. XLR pigtails included. If you push them to the limits they get quite crazy, grabby, and distorted. It’s great to be able to go beyond euphony to create some really wild effects.

These will be bombproofed, and fully insured for safe delivery. Enjoy!!!
