For sale is a 2004 Gibson L-200 Emmylou Harris signature model guitar. This model is out of production, and they didn’t make very many. It is very hard to find info about them but I know it was a limited production model. If you are looking for something different, or collectible, this could be it. There are only two others on Reverb right now and they are asking over $6k.
The L-200 is basically an SJ-200 that has been shrunken down to the size of a Martin 000/OM model. It’s very comfortable to play and sounds great. It has nice tight bass and crystal clear highs. The mids are pretty good too.
It’s in excellent playing and mechanical condition. The frets are like new but there is very, very light wear on the 1st-3rd frets under the B-string. The neck is straight. The body and soundboard are solid. The back of the guitar looks practically new. However, there are finish issues. Some of the paint has come off the pickguard and there is a lot of finish checking on the sides of the body and a few spots on the soundboard (see photos). The checking on the sides is barely visible in indoor light but under bright light it is visible. I included some pics in different lighting so you can see how much of a difference the light makes. The guitar is for sale, As-Is, to the continental US and it will ship fully insured. I am open to reasonable offers as well. Happy to answer any questions you have so please feel free to reach out.
