The guitar dates back to the early 1940s, if not precisely from 1940. It is the first model H1203 ever made, composed of a solid spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back. Unlike later versions, it has a so-called "ad 8" shape and does not have a pickguard.
The scale is that of a typical 4/4 acoustic guitar.
The guitar has recently been restored by Moonlight Luthiers in the United States. The neck has undergone a reset, it has been refretted in the style of old Martins, and X bracing has been installed to make it more similar to Martins from that period. The bridge and nut have also been replaced with higher quality materials, while the tuners have been replaced with a set very similar to the original.
Naturally, it shows numerous signs of age, but there are no open cracks or, as far as I know, repaired ones, except for one repaired on the side. It is in excellent playing condition, although a couple of frets sometimes buzz slightly when played with particular force; no other issues are reported.
I will include a practically new hard case.
