Late 1960s WEM/Watkins Dominator MK II. These MK II dominators have the same circuit and tube compliment as the earlier V front Watkins Dominator but with a 1 x 12 Goodmans speaker as opposed to the 2 x 10 speakers of the V front design. They also have the classic later WEM design that has the Pink Floyd look. Retaining the tube rectifier of the earlier design and with 2 el84 power tubes these are some of the best sounding vintage British amps, pure rock and roll, sounding somewhere between a Vox and a Marshall. supposedly the circuit for Marshall‘s famous 18 watt design was lifted straight out of thsee WEM amps.
This one needs a service as it is sounding quiet and noisy and not where it should be. Cosmetically in pretty good condition, there’s a little bit of paint splattered on the side and the back panel is a replacement piece of wood painted black. otherwise looks all original
