Kimberly Mach 8 Solid State Bass & Guitar Amp
From the mid 1960s and in great shape. I am the 2nd owner. This amp is great for living room jamming or the recording studio. It doesn't sound very clean and breaks up into a great retro solid state sound. Probably getting some speaker breakup as well. Just turn the volume up and dial back the tone for some lo-fi distortion or turn up the tone for more cut and edge.
This amp needs grounded but is all original and everything is in working order. The bass input has more of a full frequency sound to it and the guitar inputs have a low cut feature. I think that the two guitar inputs cut the lows at the resistors right on the other side of the two inputs (see picture). This amp looks like it is hand wired and is made in the USA. The speaker is also made in the USA (TM Reg).
Run a Kimberly Buzz Box or any other retro fuzz box and you will definitely get some psychedelic guitar sounds! Treble boosters sound great through this amp.
