Here's The Run Down:
This is a Rare 1986 Gibson Mastertone Earl Scruggs 5 String Banjo that's an early build and still in excellent condition considering its age and being pre owned. There really isn't much to mention for flaws or wear, but you will see light scratching, a few small marks here or there and discoloration of the nickel hardware as pictured. Definitely nothing you cant see that I feel would be of significance (see pics). Its in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (more available upon request). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics). This banjo appears all original without change or repair. There is NO fret wear to mention and nothing that I would consider actual buckle rash, although there is some light scratching on the resonator. It plays and sounds beautifully with a straight neck and working truss rod.
This Gibson Earl Scruggs plays & Sounds great! Although I think its set up perfectly, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking. The neck is nice and straight with great action and plays perfectly from one end of the fingerboard to the other.
The included Original Gibson Hard Case is in nice shape without issue. All latches, hinges, compartment door and handle operate as they should. There will be signs of age and use, but still a great original case.
