This 1970’s Les Paul copy was my main guitar in a cover band for 3.5 years. Made by Hoshino Gakki & built at the FujiGen guitar factory in Japan. This factory also was the builder of Ibanez guitars of which from this era are known as “lawsuit“ models and are highly desirable. Shortly after this guitar was made, most Japanese guitar manufacturers stopped making exact replicas of American models. Purchased after seeing Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys playing one as his main stage guitar on the ‘Let’s Rock’ tour. This instrument is incredibly light. Gibson 490R & 498T pickups installed with 3 original Gibson pots and one GFS. Guitar has been restring with SIT 10’s and could use a fret level around the 15th fret after the restring. Professionally set up in Kent.
