1970s Baxon Les Paul copy with Maxon Pickups. MIK or MIJ
Howdy. Up for sale is a pretty nice Asian LP copy guitar that I've owned for a while.
This one is labeled BAXON on the headstock. It is a bolt on style copy of a Les Paul singlecut . It has a mix of LP Standard and LP Custom appointments.
This guitar plays well and sounds good. Like a Les Paul Custom, it has the multiple layer body and headstock binding It has LP Standard trapezoidal inlays on the fingerboard. There is no split diamond inlay on the headstock. It has the hump end style on the headstock.
The guitar has a solid body with the bent laminate top. So it has a very slight chambered feel. It feels pretty solid though and is not super lightweight. The body isn't plywood.
The neck feel is rounded and not skinny. This guitar has smaller frets and a curved rosewood fretboard that is not as flat as a Gibson.
Condition is good. Playability is very good. The guitar has been set up and adjusted. Cosmetically it has finish scratches along with nicks and dings.
The pickups are Maxons that were made in Japan. These are spliced into the wiring hiring a good ways away from the pickup. I've seen this before with MIJ guitars. I assume that this guitar is MIJ but there is no Made in Japan sticker or serial number.
The tuning keys were upgraded to recent style nickel Grovers.
Sold as-is no returns. Shipping in the US is $90 and $190 to many countries. I will refund any extra payment for shipping. I might be able to ship the neck separately from the body to reduce the shipping cost.
