This is a really neat 1995 American Standard Jazz Bass 5 that has had a conversion to be a fretless. With this being converted to fretless, the frets have been removed and properly filled with what appears to be a maple veneer. The board doesn't have any expoy or coating, just a smooth finish that works perfectly with flat wounds or tape wounds. This one is even cooler by the fact it's been strung up and setup to play with a high "C" as opposed to the low "B". So it is tuned EADGC. It's a really unique piece as a fretless passive 5 string is something you don't see all too often.
Condition: "Good". The bass has some cosmetic wear and tear. The body has scratches, dings, etc... There is one section on the back side that has a large chip in the finish that goes down to the wood. When the fretless conversion was done it seems the back of the neck was sanded down to allow for a smoother playing feel. The other thing to mention is a stress crack that runs from the "B" (in this case "E") tuner downward. It's entirely stable at the moment and shows no signs of moving. The hi-mass style bridge is an upgraded part that replaced the original. The electronics appear to be non-original.
