That’s right, a Hawaiian guitar made in France … probably during the late 1940s, early 1950s.
Antoine Di Mauro (1900-1975) was one of the most successful Sicilian luthiers in 1930s France. This guitar was built by his workshop but sold under the brand “Masspacher” brand—a Paris musical instrument shop.
Oval “pineapple” shape: cedar top, mahogany laminate back and sides. “Ronde bouche” - round mouth - sound hole. Reversed Delaruelle tuners.
In quite good shape, given its age, with some scrapes and scuffs. Down home bluesy sound, a bit woody.
Comes with non-original gig bag.
