Noizemaker/ Fern Evergreen Strat type 2020 - Nitro- black over paisley

A Chance to get a hand built, custom shop Strat type at less than half the price you might pay for a Fender

I had this custom built by the wonderful Mr Fernandez of Fern Evergreen Guitars (RIP Brother) via Noizemaker Guitars in 2000. Renowned Luthier, learnt his trade on Denmark street and a passion for relic guitars. A couple of the photos are ones he took while the build was underway. You can still see his work on Instagram and he made guitars for Placebo, amongst others.

Hand carved, flame maple neck, fender hardware and, as you can see Black over paisley heavy relic. Wonderful rolled edge fret work. House of Tone, Texas special, hand wound pickups, 5 way switch, hand wired loom. The second tone control is wired in as a “blend” control, allowing you to blend the neck pickup in with the bridge as desired. MOP fret board dot inlays.

Nitro finish, hand reliced body and partd, beautiful smooth neck (I’m not a fan of the super reilced neck so this is mainly real playing wear on the back)

Hand “reliced” parts, mint green pick guard…. you've got this far, so you like a relic and already know it looks gorgeous and inspirational.

Almost exclusively played at home- practice rooms a couple of times but never gigged and complete with tremolo bar and hard case. Its been set up by Ian Dickinson of the Guitar Workshop in Glasgow with 10-42s. It sounds as good as it looks- the strattiest of strats :-). I think it's a C shape , fairly small neck and good for smaller hands and fingers (like mine!). Ultimately some tough choices have to be made and I need to reduce numbers/ make space as not gigging any more, but be sorry to see her go
