Yamaha RBX260 Satin Natural Electric Bass

Here for sale we have a Yamaha RBX260 in Satin Natural finish. Built in Taiwan, this bass features an Alder body, Satin finished Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware fitted consists of a top mounted 4-saddle bridge and sealed tuning machines. This bass is fitted with a single split coil pickup which is wired to a master volume and tone control.

The Maple neck profile feels slim and consistent, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 10” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Satin finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register.

The single split coil pickup produces a warm, punchy voicing, with a thick low end that is complemented by driving mids and sparkly top end that helps put your playing stand front and centre in the mix. The simplistic nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic for ease of tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition: 

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light denting is present to the top side edge and treble side edge of the headstock. All other aspects of the headstock present minimal signs of past use. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light denting is present to the bass side of the rear of the neck, in the lower register behind frets 1-4. This can be very lightly felt in the playing position. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard present minimal signs of past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. Denting and scratching is present to all surfaces of the body, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the bass side of the lower bout, front face to the bass side edge. The wood is worn around the elbow contour, consistent with lots of use. All other aspects of the body present minimal signs of past use.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional & can be adjusted. No truss rod adjustment tool included (hex 3/16")

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
