Highly uniform drum heads created through innovative ideas and computer control!

EMAD is Evans' exclusive sound control system, featuring two interchangeable urethane mute rings (damping rings) of different widths that can be easily attached or removed without removing the bass drum head. The 10-mil, single-ply film allows you to create a wide range of sounds, from open to tight attack and fat with a rich low end, all with a single bass drum head. GMAD, a 12-mil, single-ply film, adds punch and low end to the original EMAD for a more powerful sound. It also boasts 20% increased durability.
