For sale is a used pair of Paiste 14" RUDE Hats. Serial numbers are 458760 (bottom) and 458761 (top). They are sequential, indicating this is a factory pairing from 1984.
Top cymbal shows all the hallmarks of a vintage cymbal - stick marks, fingerprints, fading logos and of course a ton of characterful patina. Bottom cymbal is remarkably clean. There are a few flea bites in one section that I have pointed out in photos. This is unsurprising on a 40-year old set of hi-hats, but should still be pointed out.
Bright and full-bodied, these can indeed punch through almost anything. That said though, despite the name these hats are not particularly heavy and still play wonderfully at all volume levels.
