Maruszczyk Frog Omega 5A 2020 - Trans Black - Set neck w/ Nordstrand pups + Soft bag

Here we have an absolutely incredible pre owned Maruszczyk Frog Omega 5a 5- string bass. Made in Poland in 2020.  These basses are works of art.  The absolute best quality of woods, craftsmanship and hardware.  This Frog Omega 5a is a set in neck, 34 inch scale length bass.  It has a translucent Black matte finish over a quilted Maple top.  The finish on the back and neck is a Matte Black.  Because of this we are not certain of the body or neck wood.  The fingerboard is 24- fret and appears to be Rosewood but we are not 100% certain.  Block inlays are a nice touch.  The electronics are Nordstrand Big Splits, and the preamp is an Active 3- band EQ with a push/pull on the volume control for active passive. This wonderful bass weighs 8lbs 7oz. This bass has just been setup by our technician with 45-130's and is playing great.  The neck is super straight and the truss rod works as it should.  The frets are in excellent condition and show almost no signs of wear.   Cosmetically, the bass is super clean.  There is one mark up on the face of the headstock.  The rest is near perfect.  The bass comes with its original gig bag.  All in all, the Maruszczyk Frog Omega 5a is a killer bass.  Its light and the low B is nice and tight sounding.  Truly an exquisite instrument. The distinguishing feature of this instrument is a set neck for smooth, even tone. By using a very thin polyurethane matt finish, which protects the wood from external influences, a particularly powerful sound is achieved with wide frequency spectrum - a true interaction between strings and wood. As a result, the Frog have an exceptionally strong voice and a wide frequency response. The ergonomically formed body adapts perfectly to the body of the player, thus enabling a natural feel on the fretboard.

There are 3 kinds of Frogs: Alpha, Beta and Omega which differ in the choice of the electronics and the tone woods. Beyond that, all conceivable custom options are possible.

The body of the Frog is made of alder or ash and is provided with selected tops. The neck consists of three-piece hard rock maple and is complemented with a palisander, ebony or padouk  fingerboard.
The matching headstock, various inlays and high quality hardware, making the Frog a true companion. The bass player has the choice between active and passive electronics pickups of any kind. The Frog is standard, as a 4-, 5-, or 6-string available.

The high-quality hardware is available in chrome, gold or black, optionally with security locks. Whether natural or color whether opaque or transparent whether matt or gloss, you can decide for yourself and create your personal instrument. The Frog is also available as a left-handed electric bass.
