Multi 3 by Thierry André : A 20 string Acoustic Archtop hollow-body type harp-guitar

  • Strings layout: 6 main strings, 12 sympathetic and 2 sub-bass

  Coming from Thierry Andre's workshop, Multi 3 comes in continuum with the creative loop that gave birth in 2015 to the -Iconic Series- of Andre Instruments.

The presentation video above shows us Multi 1 (silver top, 2015) and Multi 2 (graphite finish, 2017) made according to the same template. Multi 3 completes this series of 3 harp guitars that are both responsive, user-friendly, and what's more, totally unique. i.e. In the stratosphere -There are no other instruments of this type - combining refinement, tonality, and creative hand to this extent.


Currently at the start of construction, several pre-order customization options are still available for Multi 3, including:

  • Raised fingerboard with EVO Gold frets
  • 16" low bout Archtop / Monocoque contoured body (average thickness 3 in.
  • Hand-carved construction to approx. 4mm thickness

  • American Black Willow body, cut in 1980
  • Gabon ebony fingerboard, 50 year old + w/aluminum markers

  • Bone nut & saddle
  • Choice of binding materials (if desired), w/ Dyed Sycamore purfling lines
  • 20 Gotoh stealth tuners (the most lightweight tuners on the market) in cosmo black
  • Custom tailpiece / Control box unit made in-house out of aluminum, rosewood, stainless steel, carbon fibre and ebony
  • Lindy Fralin split-blade pickups (other choices upon request)
  • High gloss traditional nitrocellulose laquer (top) hand polished
  • Satin epoxy and oil (body, neck) finish - natural, oxydized, or dyed.
  • Custom flight case made by Multi-Caisses (Quebec city, Canada)
