This is an incredible vintage Premier kit in blue shimmer wrap, circa 1968 to 1970.
Includes:
12x8 tom
16x16 floor tom
22x14 bass
original Premier hardware: tricycle throne, kick pedal, snare stand, bass drum cymbal stand, tom holder
original catalog, 1970 price list, Premier branded brushes, Premier branded drum key, and original retail hangtags!
14" Premier metal snare (matches well but later model not original to kit)
The shell pack is in time-warp condition! I can't call anything over half a century old "mint", but this estate find is incredibly clean and original. No scratches, dings, cracks, or separation to the wraps. All chrome is resplendent with no apparent corrosion or peeling anywhere. All lugs, stands, tension rods, even heads are original to the kit. 16" floor tom is stamped "international size" internally and I was able to fit a modern 12" Remo head to the rack tom, so I believe these to all be modern international sizes and not metric. Batter heads of toms show minor wear and rack tom has a small head puncture from storage. I'd recommend storing the heads for collectability's sake and fitting modern heads. Hardware is all excellent, and the throne shows only the slightest wear to the upholstery edges.
Snare drum does show minor corrosion and wear, and bottom rim seems to be mildly out of round. Sounds great and is a nice addition to complete the kit.
I have owned many vintage kits of this era, and this is by far the cleanest and most original I have ever encountered.
