Made in Japan Ibanez instruments are the ones to get. This one is relatively rare. This bass is in well played in condition but is thoroughly cleaned and the pictures show this. Has dents and scuffs. Nothing that affects playability or function or durability of the instrument. Has excellent build quality. Sounds just great. Has active electronics, all stock. Notched pots. The SR885LE is a five string Soundgear seriessolid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1989. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.
The SR885LE features a double-cutaway basswood body with arched top bolted to a laminated SR5 maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a special 5-strings fixed bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, and two Ibanez LO-Z (regulated) active pickup's channeled through a EQ BⅡ 2-band, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
