BRIAN MAY PHASE SWITCH – Just like on Brian’s Red Special, the BMPS puts the middle pickup out of phase with the bridge and neck pickups. It makes this a 7-Sound Stratocaster as it adds two pickup configurations to the stock five (bridge and middle out of phase and middle and neck out of phase). 

GOLDEN AGE TREBLE BLEED – The Stewart McDonald Golden Age Treble Bleed maintains the high end when you roll back the volume control. It works great and it unlocks a wider range of bright cleans. It allows you to maintain a similar basic tone throughout the volume knob's travel, while lowering the gain generated by the amplifier.

It allows you to explore new sounds at your fingertips. Many players like to dial in their maximum required gain amount with the guitar on 10, then use the volume pot to reel it back for a cleaner rhythm tone.

KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD TONE CONTROLS - Most Stratocasters only have tone controls for the neck and middle pickups. With the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Stratocaster Tone Controls, Tone 1 is for BOTH the neck pickup middle pickups and Tone 2 is for the bridge pickup. So, you have a tone control for the bridge pickup, and you can dial in the amount of warmth you want and have it blend more smoothly with the other pickups. With the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Stratocaster Tone Controls, you have tonal control over all three pickups. 

Also, just like on Kenny Wayne’s guitar, the capacitor was upgraded to a 0.01uF one for a more usable and pristine tone range.

The height of each pickup was adjusted so there's an even output between all three pickups and also adjusted for tone so each sounds clean and clear. 

All three pickups tested and measure in the 3.5K ohms range.
