Loaded Squier Stratocaster Body in Antique Sunburst Finish

When I purchased this body, it had a Fender neck on it. I was told it was a Mexican Made guitar but upon doing some research I am pretty sure the body is that of a Squier. It didn't really matter to me because I bought it because I liked the finish. The Antique Sunburst is more of an orange/red than the traditional 2 or 3 tone sunburst.

Since it turned out to be a Squier, I decided to use the body as a platform for a lot of different pickup configurations over the years. Originally the control cavity wasn't large enough to fit full size pots and so it had to be routed a little bit. You cannot see it in the picture, but beneath the lower tone control there is no screw and that is because there is no wood for a screw to bite into in that spot.

I think the body is from the mid to late 1990's. I've had it for about the last ten years. When I got it, it wasn't in mint condition and she has only taken more abuse over the last decade. She has her share of bumps, bruises, scuffs, scratches, dents and dings. I have tried to show the worst of them in the pictures. She also has one of those common stress cracks around the neck pocket along with an extra hole or two. You may want to plug those before putting a new neck on.

I just installed a new loaded pickguard from Guitar Fetish. It is actually mint green with cream color pickup covers and knobs. You may need to file or sand back one little edge that hangs over the neck pocket if it interferes with your neck when you go to install it.

Does not come with the tremolo arm.
