Gallagher Custom Doc Watson 12-fret 2002 - Rare! Absolutely Incredible Sounding!! The Best!!

Who says "money can't buy everything?!??" Final Sale Price! Another incredible guitar from the acoustic-only collection, THE REAL DEAL, DON'T MISS IT!! My original owner, 2002 Gallagher Doc Watson Custom Modified 12-fret slope shoulder built in the old workshop in Wartrace, TN. It's in pretty much ~mint condition, a true barely played "case queen" phenomenal sounding ready-to-record and enjoy instrument!  There isn't a scratch, ding, nick or mark of any kind on this guitar! 

Some more important points about this magnificent sounding guitar:

• Entirely unrelated to why I am selling this incredible instrument, there was a flaw in the middle of the finish (i.e. under the surface but above the wood) due to bad batch of polyurethane that shows up in various places on just the sides (see upper/lower side bout pics).
• The top, back & rest of guitar are pretty much perfect with no signs of the poly finish issues. Of course, It has nothing to do with playability or sound, which in this case, is JUST EXQUISITE!! 
• In October of 2018, I had Maple Street Guitars Atlanta refinish the neck and headstock with nitrocellulose, so it's perfect & like new!
• TONE: The guitar projects like a piano and has what I would term a "harp-like" tonal quality (the highest praise I can give an acoustic guitar!) and the reason I purchased her in the first place. It will make the finest recording instrument for WAY under $10K or really at ANY price!! 
• The original Gallagher shop did not make very many guitars so this is indeed a RARE bird (note they closed the old shop in 2018 and have re-opened under new ownership in Murfreesboro, TN).
• Construction is beautiful, with rich golden brown African mahogany back/sides, premium Sitka top aged to gorgeous 'pumpkin' patina (pics don't do it justice, the back and top are gorgeous!), holly maple binding, 1 7/8" nut, 25 1/4" scale, plush OHSC. 
• Includes a professionally installed Baggs VTC pickup. Also, the standard tuners were changed from Schaller chrome to Grover Black Chrome Cosmo 18:1 style.  (Original tuners included).
• I believe you would be very hard-pressed to find a similar one, much less any guitar that sounds as beautiful in its own way as this 22-year old Gallagher, she just tops everything in my expensive collection including some fine Martins and others, hands down!! 

Note: If it were not for the finish issues, I would price this guitar much higher....

Why am I selling now you ask? I have upcoming major surgery - I have to let go of these beautiful guitars to save up for it :-( The money will be gone in an -instant-, this is a guitar for LIFE!!! My LOSS is YOUR GAIN.....it's your move! Don't just watch it slip through your hands!!
