For sale is an exceedingly rare 2017 Fender Limited Edition Adam Clayton Jazz Bass, finished in an eye-catching Purple Sparkle, complete with its original hard-shell case. This bass guitar is in exceptional, near-mint condition—exhibiting only minimal surface scratches typical of a new instrument. I would confidently rate its condition at a solid 9.8 out of 10, attesting to its outstanding preservation.
This bass guitar features an upgraded white sparkle pick-guard by Mike Quick/Quickguards, complementing its stunning purple sparkle finish. Upon receiving the bass, it had a 4-band Audere preamp with Z-mode installed, enhancing its versatility. The hi-Z mode can almost replicate the sound of a Rickenbacker instrument. Although the original passive controls have been reinstalled, the 4-band Audere preamp and the original pearloid pickguard, along with its original control plate, will be included. It's worth noting that the 4-band Audere preamp and controls appear to have been installed into the original control plate, aligning with the pearloid pickguard, but the original pearloid pickguard does not align with the current control plate.
Aside from these modifications, everything else on the bass is reported to be original. No cracks, repairs, or operational issues have been reported. The neck maintains its impeccable straightness with no concerns. The original frets are in outstanding condition, showing no signs of wear. A recent setup ensures optimal playability.
