About This Listing

Maurizio Über Basses is a Malaysian-based brand producing high-class basses.
Builder Maurizio Caduto is originally from Italy and his beautifully crafted pieces with a unique sense of style are highly appreciated especially in Europe.

The Miezo is a 5-string bass with a compact design and is about half the size of a standard bass.
The scale is 18", which is significantly shorter than the usual 34".

Tuning is the same from the 12th fret as on a regular bass.
The ergonomic design is wonderfully balanced and feels similar in parts to a full-size bass.

It has a through-neck construction and the neck is multi-layer laminated with a combination of Ash, Walnut and Ipil.
The fingerboard is made of Kwila wood.
Its relatively high specific gravity and strength make it perfect for the fingerboard.

The body is made entirely of Flamed Nyato.
This wood, like mahogany, has been valued for furniture and musical instruments.
Flamed maple is used in parts.

As you can see, the wood itself has a vivid colouring, and the beauty of the design and the precision of the woodworking process that is carried out.

Two Bartolini dual coil type pickups are mounted.
Controls consist of two volume and one tone.
There is room for a preamp to be retrofitted in the future, so this area can be customised to suit your needs.

The short bass sound with beautiful overtones is very attractive.
This bass offers more pure value, especially for those who like chord work on bass and are attracted to high frequency sounds.
