Maurizio Über Basses is a Malaysian-based brand producing high-class basses.
Builder Maurizio Caduto is originally from Italy and his beautifully crafted pieces with a unique sense of style are highly appreciated especially in Europe.
The Miezo is a 5-string bass with a compact design and is about half the size of a standard bass.
The scale is 18", which is significantly shorter than the usual 34".
Tuning is the same from the 12th fret as on a regular bass.
The ergonomic design is wonderfully balanced and feels similar in parts to a full-size bass.
The body is made entirely of Nyato.
This wood, like mahogany, has been valued as a furniture and instrument wood.
Ovangkol is used for the fingerboard.
It is also used by brands such as Warwick, and has a hardness that seems to add speed to the sound.
It has a structure without a neck joint, which gives it a very distinctive look.
One Bartolini dual coil type pickup is installed.
It has a built-in headphone amp, allowing you to practise with the minimum configuration.
Of course, there is also an AUX IN so you can monitor the sound source at the same time as you play.
