About This Listing

Ludwig 3 Ply Pro Beat Set, 24", 18", 16", 14", 13", Blue/Olive Pointy Badge, Immaculate!! 1976 - Butcher Block Cortex

Vintage 70's Ludwig Pro Beat drum set in beautiful Butcher Block Cortex. These drums are in incredible shape and sound amazing. It comes complete with tom mount, floor tom legs and bass drum spurs. All other hardware, cymbals and snare drum pictured are not included but available separately. This original owner set was ordered new in 1976 at the now legendary "Seattle Music" in Seattle WA where Jimi Hendrix is believed to have purchased his first guitar. They were played with love until being retired to storage over 30 years ago.

The set is in near new condition. Original Ludwig logo heads on the bottom of both floor toms. Original Ludwig logo bass drum head. All the mufflers are fully intact and functional. Shells, edges and hardware are all excellent. There's a slight lift in the seam of the 18" floor tom, some minor scuffs in the wrap and far less than normal wear on the bass hoops. The pics and video tell all. No surprises.

Shane gave the whole set a deep clean and a fresh tuning. It is extremely rare to find a set of this era in near perfect condition. They're shinin' like a new dime and singin' like a bird. It's time to get these babies makin' music again!!
