Freedom Custom Guitar Research was established in 1998 with the concept of "pursuing guitar making with free ideas.

The company has a factory in Arakawa-ku, Tokyo, and is a Japanese high-end guitar brand that has earned a high reputation for its high-quality original guitars with well-thought-out construction.

The guitar in stock this time is one of the "Retorospective series," which is produced based on traditional specifications.

It has a 2-piece alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with traditional specifications.

The frets are made of stainless steel, which is strong and rust-resistant, and produces a surprisingly straight and cloudless tone.

This is a PB type that is a revival of the color of the 5th order of our original project [RetroCarRomantic Series], which is always sold out immediately after arrival.

This is a project that has been viewed with affection by both instrument and car fans alike, as it matches up the excellent retro cars and Freedom's extremely superior paintwork every time.

With the background that musical instruments were originally finished with paints similar to those of cars, we aim to limit the atmosphere of the textures and colors of those days with modern paints and have them produced by going back to the origin of the beauty of the paint colors.

The fifth item is an item that focuses on Ford, as the movie "Ford vs. Ferrari" was a hot topic in 2019.

Ford's achievements since its establishment in the 1900s and its entry into the luxury car market in the 1920s have been remarkable, and even today, many people would like to own a Ford at least once.

We have produced many cold colors in the past, such as Mercedes Blue and Cadillac Green, but this time we have selected "Calypso Green," a color that cannot be found in the instrument market.

The result is an exquisite coloring that is difficult to describe, somewhere between Lake Placid Blue and Ocean Turquoise Metallic.

Calypso is a word that refers to music that originated in the Caribbean Sea, and the emerald and transparent coloring, like the Caribbean Sea, has great depth and creates a sense of luxury.

As a matter of fact, it is "really on the edge of coloring," expressing a delicate blue-green hue that would destroy the exquisite atmosphere if it were only made a little lighter or darker.

It has a softness like the surface of pale water, and is such a miraculous nuance that it is uncertain whether we will be able to meet the next order to produce a similar color.

In the case of cars, the paint is sprayed thicker and the metallic particles are larger, making it more reflective and glistening, but this one is finished in a warmer way, partly because it is finished in lacquer.

I compared it with the photo of the JB type at that time, and the extremely consistent atmosphere and sense of quality can still be felt by the sure work of Mr. Funakoshi, the genius of FCGR.

This time, Indian rosewood was selected for the fingerboard.

Due to the recent shortage of Brazilian rosewood fingerboards (especially for the 5th string), FCGR was unable to supply them in time due to the much higher standards for selection, so they selected a great piece of Indian rosewood to be used.

The wood grain is excellent, and the sound is both persistent and clear as expected.

The sound is composed of low mids, which is Alder's forte, and the balance is excellent.

The sound is well balanced and easy to handle.

The sound is particularly comfortable.

The tight range from its moderate weight also contributes to its ease of use.

The "100-year warranty" that Freedom offers is very convincing due to its high degree of perfection, and this bass has the pleasure of growing with you as you play it from the ground up.

The ideas of our professional staff were combined with Freedom's high technology and quality wood to create an ideal bass of very high quality.

Please take this opportunity to try it out for yourself and enjoy both playability and sound.
